Private classes at Fields’ Karate can be traditional karate, self defense, combative classes or a combination of those.  We can incorporate fitness, strength training, or cardio. These are for children (age 6 and up) or adults, or come train as a couple, family, or group! 

Traditional

In a traditional karate class you will learn Shotokan Karate, an empty-handed, defensive, Okinawan martial art using blocks and strikes with the arms, hands, feet, knees, and elbows as our primary means of defense.

Self Defense

Self-Defense classes are on-going training focusing on stopping attacks, Counter attacking, and getting yourself safely away from dangerous situations. 
 

Combative

Combative classes teach a more aggressive style of defense teaching you to stand toe-to-toe with an assailant allowing another to get to safety. In all of our classes we teach that it is a win if you are able to walk away from a violent encounter on your own power.
  

Other Classes

Whatever your goals are for a class we can work with you! We want to see you succeed. As such we can customize a class to your needs. Do you want some traditional karate, but with a heavy emphasis on self defense? How about a combative class, but with some added strength training? Some extra cardio? More general fitness exercises? We can do that! What are you looking for? Let us know!

Cost and Details

The private classes will cost $120 per hour for up to 12 students. The cost is per hour, not per student! We recommend a group of 6-8 people in order to provide the personal attention you want.
